Well, today it is literally pouring down. I cannot see much further that the trees across the road. Obviously I must run some errands this afternoon. Tough life.

Tonight, most of the P4 on-campus recruiting activities are going to start. Marakon Associates is the first company to kick off the process here. There is a presentation followed by drinks so that participants can get some close to one-on-ones with the speaker. Marakon has an office in Singapore which makes it easier for them to come to this campus. They also go to the European campus.

Most consulting and banking organizations have a fairly well organized global recruiting process and know some of their needs well in advance. In the industry that I come from, most of the recruiting happened with a much shorter turnaround time, and rarely did people go to business school campuses to look for people. Most of the time, they'd receive independent applications and personal networking skills were prevalent.
